What is dextromethorphan?
 
Dextromethorphan or DXM is an over-the-counter cough suppressant, found in most cough medicines.When taken at proper dose it can be very effective. In addition to helping coughs dextrolmethorphan can be used for diagnostic purposes. DXM can block the dopamine reuptake site then in turn activates the sigma receptor. DXM is a semisynthetic narcotic and is legal for sale. It has been used for recreational purposes (to get high) for over 30 years. Any drug containing the word "tuss" or "Dm" contains DXM.

Any drug containing the words "tuss" or "dm" all contain dextromethorphan.
